*Before the advent of his political career, after three attempts at the entrance exam, he entered the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and graduated eighth in his class of 150. Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during World War II, and a secret Templar. He was also noted as a historian, writer, and artist. During his lengthy political career, Churchill served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom twice, 1940 - 1945, and 1951 - 1955. He is regarded as one the greatest political leaders in history during times of war.
