A mask of Wadjet found in the Sarapeion of Karanis.

Wadjet is an ancient Egyptian goddess, said to the patron and protector of all Egypt. She was often depicted as a sneak-headed woman or a woman with two snake heads.

By the 1st century BCE during the Ptolemaic dynasty, a cult was established in worshipped of her and dedicated themselves to eliminate Greek influence in the country. However, their actions were eventually shut down by the Medjay, Bayek, in 48 BCE.
