Viana is a small town and region located in Navarre, northern Spain. It is where the Siege of Viana took place, and is also where Cesare Borgia fought and died during the assault on the castle. He was later buried there.

History

Siege of Viana

King John III of Navarre ordered his brother-in-law Cesare Borgia to lead his 10,000 men to Viana, in order to retake the Viana Castle from the Count of Lerin.

Ezio Auditore, now Grand Master of the Assassin Order, traveled to Viana to assassinate Cesare Borgia. In 1507, Ezio and Cesare finally confronted each other for their last battle.
