Tyre was one of the cities the Assassin Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad during the Third Crusade period. It is notable for housing two of the Templars' major bases of operations: the Stronghold and Hospital.
In 1190, Altaïr visited the city three times. He first visited the city and infiltrated the Templar hospital in order to kill Roland Napule and take the second key to the Temple of the Sand. During his second visit, he attacked the heavily protected Templar Stronghold and nearly killed Basilisk. The third time he was in the city, he tried to save Adha from the Templars, making his way to dock area. There, he finally killed Basilisk, but was unable to save the woman, who was taken by a ship to an unknown area.
