Template:Assassify Tunguska is a remote region of the Yenisei Basin close to the Krasnoyarsk Krai River in Russia. The Tunguska event occurred in June 1908 near this river, some 8 km (5 miles) south of Lake Cheko. In Subject 16’s Truth Puzzles, the Tunguska Incident is said to be the result of an attack by Assassins. The area had a Templar research station and an artifact, both of which were said to be destroyed. In Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: The Fall, the event is further explained. Nikolai Orelov, an Assassin, asked for Nikola Tesla's assistance in destroying the Papal Staff, a Piece of Eden of considerable power in order to keep it out of the hands of the Templars. Tesla used the Wardenclyffe Tower to channel vast amounts of electricity into the artifact, causing the Tunguska Event; it is presumed that the Staff was destroyed, though this has yet to be confirmed.
