Tomb of Menekrates

The Tomb of Menekrates is a cenotaph in the city of Korkyra on the island of Korfu. Built around 600 BCE,[1] the citizens dedicated it to Korkyra to Menekrates, an Oiantheian ambassador's son who was got lost at sea.[2] During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra visited the tomb while she was on vacation on the island.[3]
