The Tiber River is a river that runs through the city of Rome, and separates the Vaticano district from the rest of Rome in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. The Castel Sant'Angelo can be found near the river, and Tiber Island is located within the river itself.
Tiber River Bridges
There are 6 bridges built over the river, allowing civilians to cross the river from various points in the city, amongst these are Ponte Sant' Angelo and Ponte Sisto. Only two of these bridges cross the river to Tiber Island. The Templar Cross can been seen on either side of both bridges leading to Tiber Island. Interestingly, no other bridge in Rome has these symbols, yet Tiber Island houses the Assassins' headquarters.
Trivia
- Ezio Auditore considers dropping the Apple into the Tiber River at the beginning of Brotherhood.
- There are hidden entrances into the Tiber Island headquarters submerged in the Tiber River.
- The iconic scene of the Assassin Ceremony ends with the newly-initiated Assassin performing a Leap of Faith into the river whilst being watched by Ezio Auditore and Niccolò Machiavelli.
