The Cowl Does Not Make The Monk is a memory in Assassin's Creed II.
Description
When Ezio arives outside the Monte Oliveto Maggiore and talks to one of Mario's mercenaries, the mercenary hands him some smoke bombs and Ezio enters the abbey. Ezio used his eagle vision to identify who among the many monks were disguised guards, as well as who was his target, Stefano da Bagnone, before moving in for the kill. While Stefano walked, he spoke to another monk about the existence of God, whom Stefano didn't believe in. When Ezio assassinated Stefano, he told him that Jacopo de' Pazzi and the other Templars would meet in the shadow of the Roman gods. Ezio then used a smoke bomb to escape.
