This article is about the temple situated on Kephallonia. For other uses, see Temple of Zeus.

The Temple of Zeus was a temple complex in worship of the Greek god Zeus, located in the village of Sami on the island of Kephallonia.
In around 431 BCE, the temple complex was visited by the Sparta misthios Kassandra. She was approached by a priestess seeking her aid in recovering a spear belonging to Kephalos, a figure in Greek mythology. The priestess provided Kassandra some clues, which helped her find the Melissani Cave nearby. Kassandra retrieved the spear, giving it to the priestess.[1]
