The Temple of Pythagoras is an ancient temple located beneath Rome, built by the Pythagoreans; the followers of Pythagoras.
During his time at the Villa Auditore, Leonardo made a research about the temple of pythagoras. As his research advanced, he decided to draw a secret map in his paintings at the villa's walls, but when the city was attacked, the paintings fell at the hands of the Borgia. However, Leonardo continued his research until 1506, when he got in contact with the Cult of Hermes. He visited the Cult's head's, Ercole Massimo's, personal library frequently to do more research about Pythagoras. Eventually, he was kidnapped by the Hermeticists, who wanted him to give them the location of the temple. Ezio Auditore managed to gather the paintings and with the help of Leonardo's assistant Salaì, discovered the temple's location. When Leonardo was taken away to the catacombs that directed to the Temple of Pythagoras, he was rescued by Ezio, who killed all the Hermeticists including Massimo. They then ventured deeper to explore the Temple of Pythagoras together, when they eventually stumbled upon the final chamber, a vault with a strange device on the center. When Ezio placed his hand on it, his DNA communed with a pedestal, revealing the corridinates: 43 3919N 75 27 42W he decided it was best to leave it, though Leonardo was eager to learn more. Leonardo was distracted by Ezio, who asked him about his future plans, which Leonardo gladly revealed as they walked out of the temple.
