Tekin (died 870) was a swordsmith in Bulgar.

Biography

In 870, Tekin's smithy was visited by the Viking Sigurd Styrbjornson of the Raven Clan, who was looking for a blade of crucible steel. Tekin had such a sword, one he had crafted for his brother as a gift before learning he had been killed by Norsemen for his silks. Tekin and two accomplices attempted to ambush Sigurd for revenge, but he easily dealt with them, killing one of the accomplices and Tekin before taking the sword as a prize.[1]
