The Taranis Hood was a hood inspired by Taranis, the Celtic god of thunder, and had the unusual property of being able to inhibit electrostatic discharge.

During the Viking expansion into England, the hood was made available to the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved her memories in 2020.[1]
