Tamir runs the largest black market in Damascus. Some even say that its possibly the biggest underground trade in swords, spears, armor, and other equipment in the entire Holy Land. He specializes in arms and armor, but can aquire nearly anything if his buyers are willing to pay.
Tamir is the largest death dealer in the land and does most of his business in the souk of the pour district of Demascus. He doesn't take kindly to people insulting him and isn't afraid to kill those who do.


Tamir is known to be a heartless killer, and shows no remorse for it. Sometimes he even feels proud for the lives he takes. He will do whatever it takes for him to make a profit.
At time that Altair was searching for him, Tamir had a shipment of weapons for an unknown client that was later revealed to be ==Robert de Sable== (Master of the Templars).
 
He is the main supplier of weapons to the Templars and there other parties who need arming. It is mentioned that in a letter from one of Altaïr's targets to [[Robert de Sable]] (leader of the Templars) that a new weapon supplier would be needed after Tamir's death.

He is the first to deliver the cryptic messages that feeds Altaïr's curiosity surrounding the reasons of his primary work, and that he does not act alone, but he is a "man with a part to play". While walking towards a sales table insulting a merchant on his lacking ability to distribute the weapons, he is suddenly stabbed in the upper left lung region from an assassins Hidden Blade puncturing it and collapsing it causing his death. (Altair blends into the crowd making his silent approach to Tamir moving quietly not attracting any attention in the process Altair observes Tamir standing near a small group of bystanders while leaning over a sales table insulting the stalls merchant, quickly moving through the crowd upon seeing an opening Altair is within reach...suddenly Tamir stands upright to turn and walk off, but it's too late for the assassin anticipated his movements and acted accordingly fully extending the Hidden Blade and striking Tamir and puncturing his lung as he turned, killing him upon blade entry.) Tamir is the first person Al Mualim orders Altair to assassinate. He is found in the poor district of Damascus
