Taimhotep

Taimhotep (17 December 73 BCE – 15 February 42 BCE) was the wife of Pasherenptah, the High Priest of Ptah during the reign of Cleopatra.

Biography

Taimhotep was born as the eldest daughter of a noble family in Memphis and was highly religious, fascinated by the pomp of the temple ritual. She played an important ceremonial role as the High Priest's wife and also served as a counterweight to the pressures of her husband.
