Armand Bouchart was the new Grand Master of the Templars after Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad killed the former Grand Master, Robert de Sable. He bought the island Cyprus from Richard the Lionheart after he captured it from Isaac Comnenus. Here, he established his own rule alongside his fellow lieutenants: Moloch, Shalim, Shahar, and Frederick the Red. The true reason of him being on the island is a sacred Templar Archive. His goal was to evacuate all the artifacts that were hidden there.

Armand Bouchart is a tall, slim man in his 40s. He is a master swordsman and the most powerful opponent Altair faces on Cyprus.

Altaïr sought Armand many times during him being on Cyprus, but only confronted him in a battle in the Archive. However, Armand Bouchart had already completed his plans and evacuated all its artifacts. Altair dueled him, causing Armand's death.
