This article is about the 5th century BCE variant. You may be looking for sledgehammers in general.
The Sledgehammer

The Sledgehammer was a mace commonly used in 5th century BCE Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra found this mace in the inventories of blacksmiths and looted it from bodies and chests during her travels throughout Greece.[1]

Hit hard enough, and it can break through anything.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Sledgehammer, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Odyssey, shares the same model as a number of other weapons in the same game, for example the Plunder Mace. These are all the recycled model of the Gruesome Mattock, a weapon in Assassin's Creed: Origins, and thus are all based on the Roman Dolabra pickaxe.
