Sibyl rock

The Sibyl rock was a rock located within the Sanctuary of Delphi in Phokis, Greece.

History

Regarded as the rock where the prophetess nicknamed Sibyl sang her oracles, the rock was believed by the Delphians to be the source of her visions.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the rock was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[2]
