Shabataka (died 705 BCE) was the second Kushite pharaoh of the Twenty-fifth Dynasty of Egypt. He was the son of Piye.

Biography

Between 714 BCE and 705 BCE, Shabataka used a Staff of Eden to rule over Egypt and Kush.[1]

Legacy

Details of Shabataka's life were later collected by the Assassin Clay Kaczmarek in 2012 while he was held captive by Abstergo Industries at their Animus Project laboratory in Rome. He then hid the information within the Animus 1.28 in Glyph puzzles for his successor, Desmond Miles.[1] Sometime in early September,[2] Desmond solved the puzzle set titled "Instruments of Power", in which Shabataka was included in a list of historic individuals who wielded a Staff of Eden.[1]

Behind the scenes

The bas-relief shown in the Glyphs actually depicts the Egyptian god Amun rather than Shabataka.
