The September Massacres were a number of bloodsheds during the French Revolution that were organized by the Templar Frédéric Rouille.
History
From 2 to 7 September 1792, the Jacobins took part in a series of murders of prisoners and priests, killing up to 1,400 people. The bloodthirsty French Revolutionary Army captain Frederic Rouille led a gang of thugs to Le Grand Chatelet and began to massacre its guards and prisoners, but he was assassinated on the top of the prison by Arno Dorian, who was told of his location by his superior, Napoleon Bonaparte.
