S. was a known Abstergo employee. Disclosed in emails revealed by Assassin operative Erudito, S. was monitoring Japan in particular, and was countering the setsuyaku (conserving resources) and keizoku (community) with visceral entertainment and consumerism/capitalism.
However, in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Shaun Hastings always signs his emails with an "S.", even though the two cannot possibly be related.
