Round axe

A round axe was a type of heavy weapon available during the French Revolution.

History

Before the introduction of the guillotine, the round axe was used to execute nobles. Charles Gabriel Sivert, a French Army general and member of the Templar Order, used a round axe as his preferred weapon of choice, though he was not carrying it the night he attacked Grand Master François de la Serre. Sivert's round axe was later claimed by the Assassin Arno Dorian, who was also a ward of the late Francois, after he assassinated Sivert at the Notre-Dame.
