Rostam Sword

The Rostam Sword was a weapon named for the legendary hero Rostam.

In the 860s, the Alamut Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq received the sword as thanks for escorting a weapons dealer allied with the Zanj rebels out of the city.[1] After receiving an upgrade schematic as a reward for killing a slaver,[2] Basim later refined the weapon with the help of blacksmiths in Baghdad.[3]
