The Roman Forum is a central location within the Italian city of Rome, surrounded by the ruins of several ancient Roman buildings and temples. It lays at the foot of the Palatine Hill.
By the time of the Renaissance the city had grown around the Forum, and it was a busy meeting place.[1]
