Robert Guiscard (c. 1015 – 17 July 1085) was a Norman adventurer during the 11th century, who played an important part in the Norman conquest of southern Italy.

In 1084, Normans under Guiscard sacked Rome.

In 2012, he was included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.[1]
