After escaping from Florence with his mother and sister, Ezio is ambushed by Vieri de' Pazzi and his guards. All hope seemed lost until the sudden apperance of Ezio's uncle, Mario Auditore, with his mercenaries. Mario tosses Ezio a sword and they fend of the guards, prompting Vieri to flee. After the fight, Mario introduces himself to Ezio, and escorts him and his family to Monteriggioni.
