The Ritualistic Xiphos was a type of double-edged sword from Ancient Greece.

During the 5th century BCE the xiphos was often used in hedonistic rituals conducted by cultists of Dionysos. The sword was also popular amongst mercenaries who fought for either Athens and Sparta during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
