Rid the Palace of Inquisitors was a virtual representation of one of Ezio Auditore da Firenze's genetic memories, relived by Desmond Miles in 2012 through the Animus.

Ezio rescued Sánchez from the Inquisitors.

Raphael Sanchez: Ah..you have a knack for timing. One minute more and I'd have been dead, or worse... We riled up the Templars and now they're openly sending Inquisitors to imprison us.
Ezio: Revenge by proxy. It's time to find Torquemada and end this.
Sanchez: Before you do anything rash, make him talk. Find out how close to the Templars he really is.

Ezio rescued Sánchez and proceeded to find Tomas Torquemada.
