Raoul is the first assassin to greet Altair when he returns to Masyaf from after the failed mission to get the "Templar Treasure". Altair greets him by name. He is clearly friendly toward Altair, as opposed to a similar looking assassin who stops Altair at the fortress gate and taunts him about being anxious to go and "put his tongue" to Al Mualim's boots.
