Ransom Eli Olds

Ransom Eli Olds (3 June 1864 – 26 August 1950) was a pioneer in the automobile industry, a member of the Templar Order and one of the "Founders" of Abstergo Industries.[1] He was the founder of the Oldsmobile and REO brands of automobiles. He founded the Olds Motor Vehicle Company in Lansing, Michigan, on 21 August 1897. Olds was a Republican, and served as a delegate from Michigan's 6th District to the 1908 Republican National Convention, which nominated William Howard Taft for president.
