The Purple Bracers were 5th century BCE Greek leather bracers notable for being lined with a rich fabric dyed Tyrian purple.

During the Peloponnesian War, the bracers were in the possession of a Greek brute, until he was slain by the Spartan misthios Kassandra at the request of the self-proclaimed 'god' Empedokles.[1]
