Prescott Munitions was a British munitions factory located in Southwark, London, during the Victorian era.
Founded by Louis Prescott after he left the British Army following a disastrous sortie across the Pra river on the Gold Coast of Africa, Prescott Munitions' building was adorned with a memorial banner for the fallen soldiers of the 11th Regiment of Foot.
Prescott had founded the business to be able to make amends for his mistakes, offering jobs to his comrades when they left the army. In 1868, Prescott was shot and killed in the courtyard in front of the factory.
