Poland is a country in middle Europe, situated close to Germany, Ukraine, Lithuania and Belarus.
History
World War II
Before the Second World War flashpoint burst, the country was invaded by the Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union together. At the end of the war, the country was forced to join the Warsaw Pact.
Cold War
At the end of the Cold War, Poland had its independence from the USSR.
