The Plated Vambraces were vambraces used widely in the 5th century BCE Greece. Made by layering the cloth with metal plates, the vambraces did their duty well, especially against light blows.
During the Peloponnesian War, these vambraces were a common sight both on the battlefield as well as the inventories of blacksmiths.[1]
