Phaenna was a Greek woman who lived during the Peloponnesian War.
During said war, Phaenna and her husband Laches visited the poetry festival at the Port of Kreusis in Korinthia to catch a glimpse of the poet Praxilla. During the event, she and rest of the spectators watched as Praxilla recited her famous poem alongside the misthios Kassandra.[1]
