Antigonus I Monophthalmus (382 BCE – 301 BCE) was a Macedonian general serving under Alexander the Great and the founder of the Antigonid dynasty that ruled over much of Anatolia and northern Syria.
He designed a light shield that allowed for fast troop movement.[1]
