Paulus Aurelius (died 47 BCE) was a Roman money leader who operated in the Roman province of Cyrene during the 1st century BCE.
He was an associate of the Greek scavenger Sminthos, and they met at the Cyrene Baths. When they parted ways, Sminthos later swore that Paulus was very much alive, "drinking and whoring as usual." However, Paulus was soon discovered dead, cut open. In his throat was a note from the murderer, signed Vesta.[1]
At the request of Sminthos, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa investigated the murder.[1]
