The Palazzo Comunale (English: Municipal Palace) was a major building located in the Tuscan town of San Gimignano.
History
Palazzo Comunale, San Gimignano's town hall, was built as the seat of the municipal government in 1288.
As befits San Gimignano, one of the council's earliest acts inside their new home was to construct the Torre Grossa on top. The podestà took up residence at the Palazzo Comunale in 1337.
