Oliver Cromwell

Oliver Cromwell (25 April 1599 – 3 September 1658) was an English military and political leader who overthrew the monarchy during the English Civil War.

In 1651, Oliver Cromwell led his army into the Battle of Worcester, hoping to defeat the army of Charles II. Cromwell's army heavily outnumbered Charles II and his men. Cromwell's army managed to force their opponents into retreating, after which they lost track of Charles.[1]
