Naxos (Greek: Νάξος), also called Chora, is the largest city of Naxos Island, Greece. In classical antiquity it was a polis located in the region of Ariadne's Fate.

During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra was led to the city by Aspasia, in search of Kassandra's mother Myrrine.[1]
