The boat cannon in action.

The boat cannon is a new ballistic gameplay sequence appearing in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. It is one of the devices designed by Leonardo da Vinci and is similar to a regular cannon but projects fire balls in different directions in order to cause wide-ranged damage.

The cannon is placed on a small boat so that it can be piloted around a harbor in Naples, and was used to destroy Templar battleships. It appears to be mounted on a widened gondola with stabilizers. It is only used once throughout the single player story, but can be replayed at any time after the mission is complete. However, according to the game's achievements, the naval cannon will be destroyed.
