The boat cannon is a new ballistic gameplay sequence appearing in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. It is a device, probably built by Leonardo da Vinci, similar to a regular cannon which projects fire balls to different directions in order to cause a wide ranged damage. The cannon is placed on a small boat so that it can be driven throughout Tiber River among other boats and destroy Templar battleships. It appears to launch mutiple projections at once.
