The Narwhal (Monodon monoceros) are a species of toothed whale found in arctic regions. They feature a distinct long tooth on the point of their nose, much like a unicorn's horn on his head.

Throughout the 18th century, killer whales were hunted by various individuals, such as the Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Cormac at the Port la Joye and Fort Louis regions of the North Atlantic. After a narwhal was slain, the spoils were usually either sold for profit or used to craft other materials, such as armor.[1]
