Namrut was an Egyptian rebel who operated at the Ekdikesis Outpost in the Saqqara Nome.
Biography
Namrut was part of a rebel group who worked closely with Nefertari, the chief healer of a natron mine Nitria in the nome. Nefertari would regularly travel to the outpost to provide medical aid to the rebels for their injuries suffered from fighting Ptolemy XIII's soldiers.
In 48 BCE, Nefertari was unable to make trip and thus sent her helper Suphia and the Medjay, Bayek, to treat the soldiers. Together with Namrut, the trio left the mine and travelled to the outpost at night. While treating the soldiers, Suphia betrayed Bayek and the rebels by lighting up a fire at the watchtower, luring Ptolemy's soldiers to the camp. Bayek and Namrut was able to dispatch the soldiers and learned of Suphia's treachery.
Confronting her up in the tower, Bayek learned of Suphia's identity as the mistress of Rudjek, a member of the Order of the Ancients that Bayek had killed for the death of his son Khemu. Before Suphia was able to attack Bayek, Namrut thrusted an axe into her abdomen, killing and throwing her off the tower to her death.
