Modu promised the youxia and their companion Yu Ying that he would first locate his tribe then rendezvous with them at the Mu Us Village to return their favour. Although the two youxia were suspicious that he would bother to meet back with them after returning to his tribe, he convinced them that they would never catch up to his roaming tribe if they followed him on his search.[1]
