Mr. Bloomfield was a British citizen, who lived and worked in London in the mid-nineteenth century.
Living in a small apartment complex in the Strand, Mr. Bloomfield and his wife owned a shop, where they spent most of their time during the day. Outside of his work, Mr. Bloomfield enjoyed dabbling in chemistry, having gotten permission from Mr. Henman to use the basement for his experiments.
One night in 1868, the gas in the building stopped working, and the following morning, Byron Cashan, the Bloomfields' neighbor, was found dead in his room. The Bloomfields were both questioned by the Assassins Jacob and Evie Frye, but knew nothing about the murder, which had been committed by another neighbor, David Golden.
