Mount Geraneia is a mountain range situated in Megaris on the Attika peninsula. Also known as "crane hill", it was named for the flock of cranes that showed Megaros, a son of Zeus, the weak to it's peak to escape a flood.

During the Peloponnesian War, Athens controlled a fort in the slopes of the mountain.[1]
