Moses, born Moshe (Hebraic name), was a religious leader, lawgiver and prophet to the Hebrew people of ancient Canaan, to whom the authorship of the Torah was traditionally credited.

He was the most important prophet in Judaism and was also considered an important prophet by Christianity, Islam, the Bahá'í Faith, Rastafari, and many other religions. Moses' staff was, in reality, a Staff of Eden, which he used to free the Israelites from Egyptian rule and to part the Red Sea. Moses was also the first known member of humanity to possess a Staff of Eden.[1]

Legacy

In 2012, Moses was one of many historical people included in the Glyph puzzles the late Assassin Clay Kaczmarek had left behind in the Animus as messages for his successor Desmond Miles to decipher. Desmond later did in September of that year.[2] Desmond solved this puzzle, which was part of a set titled "Instruments of Power" where Moses was included in the list of historical individuals revealed by Clay to have wielded a Staff of Eden.[1]

Behind the scenes

In Assassin's Creed, Al Mualim asserted that Moses used an Apple of Eden to turn his staff in a snake and to part and close the Red Sea.[3]
