Mjolnir Smida was the forge in northern Svaladal, Svartálfaheimr where Thor's hammer Mjölnir was created.
History
In Eivor Varinsdottir's visions of Odin's time in Svartalfheim, the Æsir lord discovered the forge atop a mountain and recalled the time the dwarven brothers and blacksmiths Brokkr and Sindri used it as part of a bet between Odin and Loki about the blacksmiths' skill and their creations' quality. Despite Loki's efforts to distract Brokkr when he transformed as a fly, Mjölnir's design was deemed superior in spite of its flaw of a slightly shorter handle.
