Trivia

The Mercenary bears a certain strong resemblance to both Mario Auditore, the uncle of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and Bartolomeo d'Alviano, the Condotierro of Venice. It is highly likely that he was based off of one of the characters, or both.
The Mercenary bears the emblem of the Sforza, this could mean that some members of the Sforza family are Templars.
