Andrea Pisano (1290 – 1348) was an Italian sculptor and architect.
In 1340, Andrea succeeded Giotto di Bondone as architect of the Campanile part of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore. He later died in 1348 due to the Black Death and the work on the tower was taken over by Francesco Talenti.[1]
